On August 27, 2015, the Memorandum of Fact and Law (written argument) of the Respondent, Aniz Alani, was served in response to Canada’s appeal of the Federal Court’s refusal to dismiss the application for judicial review concerning Senate vacancies.

The next step in the appeal is for the parties to indicate their availability to the Court for a hearing, following which the Court will schedule a hearing of the appeal.

Meanwhile, the application for judicial review continues. The Applicant’s record, which includes full written argument in support of the application for judicial review, is due to be served and filed by Monday, August 31, 2015.
